We both tried a few things we've never had. S had a salad with Baby Scallops (and was an awfully good sport about having his picture taken....all the time).
I had something called horse mackarel with a chili lemon sauce. Both were great, but nothing topped dessert: Vanilla Kozu-Mochi. I expected it to be like mochi ice cream, but it was more of a very firm yet wiggly pudding, rolled in rice powder (like mochi ice cream) and served with a delicious maple-y, malty sauce!
YUM!
Outside the window, we could see a gaggle of Japanese girls, dressed up and ready for a night out in Roppongi (the center of nightlife in Tokyo). I loved the way they looked, lined up and dressed to the nines, all legs and high heels.
